8 Ball
Classic pool. Challenge a friend with one link.
About 8 Ball
Classic pool with real table physics: spin, draw, follow and side all work the way they do on a real table, and every ball rolls with its number turning. Play 8-Ball or 9-Ball against the computer on four levels, pass the device to a friend, or send a link and play together from anywhere. For solo play there are endless racks, a three-minute speed game and free practice. The sounds are real recordings of balls, cushions, cue and pockets.
- Play a friend from anywhere with a link, no account needed
- 8-Ball, 9-Ball, Endless, Speed and Practice
- Four computer levels, from beginner to a player who plans ahead
- Real physics with draw, follow and side spin
- Real recorded sounds, four cloth colours and three woods

How to play
- AimMove the mouse or drag a finger to turn the cue. The guide shows where the cue ball meets the first ball and where that ball goes.
- ShootPull the power bar and let go. Pull only a little for a soft shot. Letting go near the top cancels the shot.
- Add spinTouch the little cue ball to choose where the cue strikes. Low brings the ball back, high runs it on, and left or right changes the angle off a cushion.
- Follow the rulesIn 8-Ball, pot your group and then the 8. In 9-Ball, always hit the lowest ball first. After a foul your opponent places the cue ball anywhere.
Tips from the usta
- Think about the next shot. Where the cue ball stops matters more than a spectacular pot.
- Softer shots are easier to control, and they leave fewer accidents behind.
- Keep the 8 away from your own balls. Knocking it in early loses the game.
- When there is no good shot, a safe one is a good shot: leave your opponent with nothing easy.
