About Fluid Light

Fluid Light is a real fluid simulation running live in your browser. Click and hold, then drag, and rivers of glowing colour swirl, fold and curl around each other like ink in water. There is nothing to win and nothing to lose, so it is a good place to rest your mind for a minute or an hour. Change how strongly it swirls, how slowly it fades, how wide you stir and how much it glows, then save any moment you like as a picture.

How to play

1. StirClick and hold, then drag to stir. Hold still to pour more colour. Nothing moves until you press. On a phone every finger paints its own colour.
2. Open the settingsThe small ring in the corner opens the settings. It hides itself when you are not using it.
3. Shape the flowSwirl sets how much it curls, Fade how fast the colour goes, Size how wide you stir and Glow how much it shines.
4. Keep a momentPause to freeze the flow, then press Save to keep it as a picture.

Tips from the usta

• Set Fade to zero and the colour stays, so you can build up a marbled painting.
• Slow, curved movements make the finest swirls.
• Try White for a look like smoke.
• Press Splash when you want a burst of new colour.
