About Mine Sweep

A board full of hidden squares and somewhere under them, the mines. Open a square and a number tells you how many mines touch it. Use the numbers to work out where the mines are, flag them, and open everything else. Your first click is always safe. Pick Easy, Medium or Hard: harder boards and faster times score more points on the leaderboard. Plays with a mouse, a keyboard or a finger, with hold-to-flag and a flag mode on phones.

How to play

1. Open a squareClick or tap a square. Your first one is always safe and usually opens a whole area.
2. Read the numbersA number shows how many mines touch that square, including diagonally.
3. Flag the minesRight-click, hold on a phone, or switch on 🚩 flag mode to mark a mine.
4. Open around a numberClick a number that already has enough flags next to it to open all its other neighbours at once.
5. Clear the boardOpen every safe square to win. Opening a mine ends the game.
