Swooping arcade action in blazing neon. Raiders fly in along curving paths, settle into formation and then break away in diving attacks, faster with every wave. Queens take two hits and can lower a tractor beam to steal your ship, but shoot that queen as she dives and you get it back, docking both ships into a double fighter. Every fourth stage is a challenge stage with no enemy fire, where hitting all forty raiders pays a huge bonus. Arcade mode adds five power-ups and a multiplier up to ×8, while Classic keeps it pure.

How to play

1. MoveUse the arrow keys or the mouse, or drag anywhere on a phone. Your ship stays on the bottom line.
2. FireHold Space, the mouse button or your finger down to keep firing. Only a few shots fly at once, so make them count.
3. Beware the beamA queen can lower a tractor beam. If it takes your ship you lose a life, but you can win it back.
4. Rescue your shipShoot the queen while she dives with your ship. It flies down and docks with you for a double fighter.

Tips from the usta

• Hit raiders while they fly in: it thins the formation before the dives begin.
• Never shoot a queen in formation if she holds your ship, or it is gone for good.
• The double fighter is wider, so it hits more and is also easier to hit.
• Challenge stages are safe: learn the paths and go for all forty.
